Industrial automation
Self-Healing AI 5G Network for Autonomous Industrial Robots
A private 5G network that heals itself, so robots keep working.
Status · Demonstration platform on a 5G testbed.
Overview
An intelligent private 5G platform for autonomous robots and AGVs. It watches the network, detects service degradation, identifies the likely cause, and automatically applies QoS protection so mission-critical robot traffic keeps priority. Once the network recovers, it restores the normal policy.
The demonstration
70 seconds / Silent explainerThe problem
In a factory, robot control, safety telemetry, HD video and AR or Internet traffic all share one network. When demand spikes or the radio degrades, critical robot commands can be delayed along with everything else.
How it worksA closed loop
- 01
Monitor
Traffic load, latency, capacity, RSRP, CQI and application performance.
- 02
Detect
Persistent degradation, not a single spike.
- 03
Diagnose
Traffic congestion (demand increase) or radio degradation (capacity reduction).
- 04
Decide
Protect critical traffic; choose what to reduce.
- 05
Act
Apply the QoS / traffic-protection policy.
- 06
Track
Keep watching after the action.
- 07
Restore
Return to the baseline policy when conditions are acceptable.
Traffic classes and protection
| Traffic | Priority | Example | Under pressure |
|---|---|---|---|
| Robot control | Critical | Robot commands, motion control | Protected |
| Safety telemetry | Very high | Robot state, safety information | Protected |
| HD video | Medium | Camera / vision streaming | Reduced / capped first |
| AR / Internet | Best effort | Operator AR, general Internet | Limited |
The aim is not to stop traffic. Critical traffic is protected first, and non-critical traffic gives way.
Key capabilities
- Continuous network monitoring
- Explainable AI decision-making
- Congestion versus radio diagnosis
- Automatic QoS protection
- Automatic recovery to baseline
